Adoption Procedure

Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog or cat from me. I have now brought 23 dogs to the Netherlands and Belgium after I found the right people who wanted to adopt them. You can read more about it on the success stories page.

I am a private person who, on my own initiative and at my own expense, rescues dogs and cats from the streets in Albania and cares for them in my shelter home with garden in Albania. In the case of adoption: My dogs are not transported in a van 10 at a time and drugged (it is cheap to transport) and are not sick, dehydrated and traumatized upon arrival. I will personally bring the cat's or dog's to you by plane and ensure that she/he feels safe and that they arrive calmly in the country of adoption.

Hereby an overview of the costs:

• Transport:I will take the dog by taxi to the airport. Taxi is around 25EUR. Flight tickets for the dog is 80EUR and for the cat 50EUR. Round trip ticket for the flight is around 150EUR depending on the travel season. Upon arrival, I take the train to bring the dog or cat to you. Price depends and to be determined.
• Certificate: In order to bring the dog to you it needs to have a rabies certificate. I will take care of this. Price for the rabies certificate is around 140EUR.
• Vaccinations: I take care of all the vaccinations/sterilizations, medications, blood tests, deworming, anti-parasite treatment for the dog or cat you adopt. You can contribute to or pay in full for these treatments. The choice is yours but also depends on your income. If you can afford it, please do.
